Design of Unmanned Aerial System Considering the Human Factor

The human factor is a key element of effective system development and efficient exploitation of aviation equipment. The rapid development of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS, ''), during the last decades, stimulated the appearance of fully commercial application of UAS in a variety of domains. Autonomous modes of UAS usage have increased significantly. Commercially available UAS could perform multiple tasks in fully autonomous modes. However, humans still play an important role in the UAS lifecycle. People are involved in tasks of mission planning, payload control, maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and design as well. During these activities, the human factor is present in any UAS operation lifecycle. In this paper, we study factors of ergodesign design and operation of UAS with measures for their practical implementation. Ergodesign methods and computer modeling are considered for particular cases of UAS development.
